CLL has developed the following guidelines to help you figure out what to do about practices and games.  Please note that this is our first pass at this as normally, the city tells us when we can and cannot play.  If we find that our initial guidelines need work, we’ll update them and let you know.

At 2:15pm on weekdays and 7:15am on weekends, the following web site will be consulted: https://xappprod.aqmd.gov/aqdetail/AirQuality?AreaNumber=10).

If the *highest* AQI value (PM 2.5, PM 10, O3, CO, NO2) gets into the ranges defined below, do the following:

  • 201 and above (Very unhealthy): cancel all practices and games
  • 151-200 (Unhealthy): Practices are allowed with no strenuous activity (base running, conditioning, etc).  Games are cancelled
  • 101-150 (Unhealthy for sensitive groups): Practices are allowed but managers are to warn parents and players that if they belong to the "sensitive groups", they should tell their managers that they cannot participate in strenuous activity or games.  Games are allowed and pool players should be used for teams that cannot field the required number of players to start a game.
  • 100 and below (Moderate/Good): All activities are allowed.
